Pictures Worth A Thousand Words

Well, I'm not trying to say these are great pictures, I'm trying to say that I'll let the pictures do most of my talking because guess what: now I'm getting sick too. I started getting a sore, scratchy throat last night. Oh no! I slept for, like, 10 and a half hours last night. Easton slept for over 12. He's about the same. He had a slight fever yesterday afternoon but still seems fine enough.

I did still make a yummy breakfast this morning and I've got the roast going in the Crock-Pot so I'm not all that sick. But, I'll just narrate yesterday's pics for you and call it a day. Here we go:

So, yesterday we decided it was time for Eastie's 3rd haircut. Jason does it. This is E before:

The front view there doesn't look too scraggly but it was time for a trim.

Here is Easton during:

He did so good this time, he didn't cry like his first time and he didn't act afraid or cling to me like last time. He was big and brave and just sat there till Daddy was done.

Here is the little Doodle afterwards:

Dashing, no? We always think he looks older and less copper-topped when his hair's been buzzed.

So, after the buzz session, Easton needed to get all the extra hair off his neck and ears so he got a shower with me which he loved.

Most of the time he stood in there like a big boy and liked when the water sprayed in his face. He had such a blast that he cried when he had to get out. Oh well--he didn't know about our plans for later. Read on...

Despite the slight fever we still took him out to watch the first half of the LSU game on TV at a restaurant downtown. The Denver area alumni association does this and Jason wanted to go. I'm always up for eating out so we went. Here is Easton driving us there.

And here's my boys walking to the restaurant:

Easton did some coloring and some snacking and even watched TV part of the time. LSU's mascot is a tiger (for those of you that don't know) and Easton saw it and said, "Bwee" which is what he calls Blitz and all cats now. He also saw some chips get delivered to the table behind us and kept saying, "dip dip" so they offered him a chip. That was nice. He didn't even eat all of it then tried to give it back. Silly boy. Anyway, we watched LSU beat the snot out of the other little school for the first half and then we headed on home.

Easton and Daddy took E's second shower of the day. This time they sat on the floor of the tub and played bath basketball and other fun games.

Then it was off to an early bedtime for Mr. Sickie. Not a bad day, eh?

Thanks for that ticker on the home page, I do like to keep up with things, but the memory doesn't always cooperate. I really like that picture of E. I have it on my desktop now.
Hope ya'll get to feeling better and it doesn't get to bad.
