So, we're going to our town's Harvest Fest this afternoon. It seems a little early in the year for "harvest" but whatever...
Easton woke up calling for us at 6:20 this morning. Ugh! So, J's idea was to just leave him in there for a bit and see what happened. Smart move because we all went back to sleep for two more hours. Nice! A wake-up time of after 8 is much better for all of us and I was appreciating how much sweeter we were all being because of it. That is until I unloaded the "clean" dishwasher and a bunch of still dirty items made me really mad--at the washer--so I went on a cleaning binge. Then I felt better. Maybe I'm nesting?
I'm 15 weeks today and Easton is already 20 months old today. I get sad when I notice how quickly the time passes. He is so much fun though, I would never want to go back in time. I just wish it would go more slowly. He has a funny new "word" that he's used a couple of times now: he says, "Hmmmmm". For example, he was pawing through his toy box doing a visual sweep of the items and Jason asked him, "What are you looking for?" and Easton responded, "Hmmmmm" like he hadn't quite decided. It was very very amusing. He's getting much better with some animal sounds now too. Although he usually uses the sounds to identify the animal and not really so much when you ask, "what does a duck say?" But his "gak gak" for "quack quack" is super-cute. He opens and closes his fists for some reason when he says "quack"--almost like a beak.
Well, as I don't have all that much to really ramble about I will leave you to enjoy your day. However, I did change the "Same Time Last Year" pic and video. The picture was from one of (if not THE) first time Easton swang solo in a swing. The video is of him as a newish "hands-and-knees" crawler...he still resorted to creeping on his tummy at times. He was 8 months actual the day of that video (a year ago today!) and that means he was 6.5 months adjusted. Anyway, off I go: Happy Harvestfest!
