I think Easton's nose has stopped running finally. After a whole week. He's still stuffy and boogie but it's not running out onto his lip all nasty-like anymore. Yay! He's still got the yucky cough, though. Oh well. I think he's on the mend.
Here's some pictures from our day yesterday:
Those were obviously before we left. Easton is very crazy. Here he is in the car excited to go to the berry farm:
We're in the garage so it's a little dark of a picture. Sorry.
Here he is riding behind the tractor that takes you out to the strawberry patch:
Picking a berry:
Tasting the berry:
And then, in typical "Easton fashion", handing it to me because he's "ahh duh" (all done):
Here he is picking a raspberry, the bushes are prickly!
And then, having fun back at home:
That is right around the time I was getting fed up with my new camera for acting crappier than the old camera. Ugh! I need camera lessons--better look into those.
Last night after E's bath, J headed into Easton's room while I brushed teeth with E. This is what we found when we came in:
Yup, that's J in the crib! Easton was a little freaked out by it. I put him in there with Daddy while I went to get the camera and he cried and cried. He apparently did not find it as funny as we did. Oh well.
My mom had a great surprise for us yesterday: she wants to pay for Easton's gym class! Woo hoo! It'll be a birthday and Christmas present for him since he doesn't know or care about the tangible stuff anyway...well he does, he just doesn't know what's from whom or have an "expected" amount of toys to receive. Anyway...I'm very excited. She's a P.E. teacher herself so she wants to support Easton's physical education. Yippee skippy! We checked out another class today at a different place. Not great. So, at least my decision is made easier on which gym to go to. The class today would've been suitable if we weren't doing Kindermusik too. A lot of the class today resembled the Kindermusik style. But, Easton did have fun showing off that he could already do somersaults when the teacher tried to teach it to them: the teacher was spotting another youngster on a downhill sloping mat. When Easton saw that it was somersaults she was doing he walked up to the mat and did a somersault uphill! Most of the room clapped for him so he clapped for himself too. What a goob. He also had tons of fun hanging from a bar (one mom was impressed with how long he could hang--she called him a "natural hanger") and then he also walked solo on a low balance beam. He could get up there himself and walk and then jump off which is what he thought the whole point was. Again, another mom was impressed because her older son wouldn't do it himself. I think the reason people are so amazed by Easton and his physical abilities is because he looks so much younger than he is. Plus, he is especially gifted in that area, I must admit. :) If he wasn't so tiny with such wonky feet he might be an athlete someday. We'll just wait and see...
Well, for now E's napping and I'm doing my thing while enjoying the cherry tart melting downstairs. We can't burn this one when J's home because he thinks it smells like vitamins. I like it. Oh, and I scrapped a page during yesterday's "me" time:
It's from last October if that wasn't obvious. And, of course, I lifted it from this. Last night I asked J if he ever looked at the originals I scraplift from and he said, "No, you should show me." So I showed him one and he was like, "Yours looks nothing like that." I explained that, "Yeah, my colors are different and the pictures are of course different but it's the same layout." He said he supposed it was the same template but that scraplifting (my way) wasn't as big of a "crime" as he first thought. Not that he really thought that. Anyway, I liked his take that I was still sort of putting my own "spin" on a page. Sort of.
Okay, enough rambling...enjoy the weekend!

Oh I think your "take" on the scrap is your own orginal thing- it looks great!
That J is such a jokester- in the crib- what a silly daddy!
It is interesting, to me at least, how different the growing seasons are between OR and CO. Our berry season is late May, June, and early July. I guess you are south of us but your elevation is higher???
You see now that I am on that stupid (so far) beta blogger, I have to sign in as "other" instead of a "blogger" when I post a comment. I guess it really doesn't matter?
Have a good weekend!
