Let's start with a friendly disclaimer: Dalton really doesn't know how to sit up already. As I was telling Kyla, it's just because he's so squishy and moldable you can get him to stay like that for a sec. Literally, just a sec. Then he does this:
I'm mostly bringing this up so allllllll the grandmas that read this blog (Moosie!) don't make their grandma friends feel too bad about their own grandkids who don't sit yet. Because Dalton doesn't sit. We're not even working on it. Okay done. Moving on...
Easton and I have been playing a new game:
As I've mentioned before, he's been enjoying playing the games they have over at Noggin.com and the Oobi section has a variety of choices which has a few of his favorites. They have one called Oobi Remember which Easton likes but it's too easy for kids his age. So we started playing "Eastie Remember" and using more items to remember and less repetition and stuff. He does great. We did an impromptu version with the Sesame Street character diapers Dalton has. Then we did one with colored handprint stickers seen above. I throw his Cuddles over his head and remove something, sometimes rearranging them and then he tells me what's missing. Way more fun and challenging. Then look how cute he is watching TV later.
No one ever teaches people how to do this, he just comes up with the comfy positions on his own...you saw the Mother's Day one with his hands behind his head. Cuteness.
More cuteness:
Easton whipping Cuddles around as he descends the stairs:
Dalton looking up quizzically from his swing:
Those pictures are from yesterday. I didn't have a good place to fit them in. Other than there, that is. Which really wasn't a "good" place. Just a place.
Anyhoo...this morning during our morning cuddle session Easton asked to get doughnuts. It was as good a day as any so after he woke Dalton up (by rudely walking in and turning off the white noise machine and protesting loudly when I told him not to do that) we made our weekly doughnut run. As we were eating them back at home I made up an exciting song about how we were going to go to Circle Time at the library and getting Toy Story 2 and completed my tune with some table drumming. He was amused but embarrased too:
Isn't he a little young to get embarassed by his mother? I must've been way over the top. After we got him cleaned up we did some self-portraits in the kitchen just because he likes to take pictures then look at them on the camera's LCD. This is a few:
He just started attacking me with kisses with his arms tight around my neck. It was awesome. I love when he's like that. And, didn't want Dalton to feel left out:
One day he'll give kisses too. For now he rewards me with his super smiles:
And his "D in the headlights" face:
Well, we went to Circle Time and no one else did. We had Miss Jenny all to ourselves and today's theme was ladybugs. I didn't realize Easton knew what ladybugs were but he did. Miss Jenny had a ladybug puppet and he said, "A bug! A ladybug!" Sometimes he surprises me. Not that he's not smart...I just can't think of when we've come across ladybugs before. Anyway...she read the stories just to him so we had to sit real close. I felt kinda foolish but oh well. Afterwards she had an "art project" where the kids (ummmm...Easton) could glue black spots on the ladybugs. I felt kinda bad for Miss Jenny because she had quite a few laid out on the tables. Kinda like when I do a real time consuming blog and no one comments. So I made sure to thank her. She left to say hi to "Dal-UN". It sorta bugs me when people don't really pronounce the "t" in his name. Man, I'm random today. Okay, so Eastie glued the spots on. He did the glue stick himself. This is his finished product:
It is hanging on our fridge. I just noticed how she's wearing little spots as shoes. But not on any of her arms. Just her back legs. I think that was by accident but you never know.
We came home, had some yogurt, watched his "TV show" while Dizzle drank some milk and posed for these pictures:
He still enjoys his hands. It's strange but I noticed a white dot on his gums. Then I poked around and it totally feels like a tooth. Yes already. Jason agreed once he got home. Will they stop growing up so fast?!?! Sheesh.
Oops...my bad nappers are both up. Gotta run!

I'm totally going to come steal Dalton. He is just TOO cute!
Okay, so maybe I'm not going to steal him...but he is THAT cute. *lol*
E knowing about those ladybugs reminded me of when Nathan was tested for PreK, we were able to watch and he answered sooo many questions we had no idea he knew! It is funny how much the absorb without our realizing it.
The "remember game" is a great idea. I've never thought of playing it. We'll have to try it sometime!
E did a great job on the ladybug picture. That's definitely one to hold onto.
Love the post-breakfast kisses with the boys. Good times at the S house!
