Lookie, lookie! I don't really love it, but hey...I gotta start back up somewhere. It's from this years 4th of July pics.
Technically my inspiration for this page came from scraplifting Amanda. But, I've actually done a layout similar to this waaaaay back when I first started the whole digi-scrapping thing, see:
So, no wonder I liked Amanda's when I saw it. And if anybody who reads my blog actually cares about the credits I'm happy to figure them out, but since most of you are family and friends with a couple of extremely talented scrappers thrown in I felt like no one would really want to know who's products make up my measley pages.
I scrapped yesterday while my little guy had a sneeze-filled nap. Yup, he woke up from his nap with a case of the sniffles. Oh no! Summer sniffles are never good! Especially over the holiday weekend. He's coping fine, he never "acts" sick--it's all the coughing and drippy nose that gives it away. So far no fever either. I did make an after-dinner run to Wal-Mart for a new humidifier filter so we could run that last night. And guess what Amanda: they had a 6 pack of Children's Dimetapp on the shelf near it! Hmmmmm... Anyway, hopefully he'll be feeling better soon.
What else? Oh, I'm fourteen weeks today:
Hmmmm...I feel some rambling coming on. You want to hear an E story from last night? I was in the kitchen making dinner and E was running around in the family room with toys and such. I heard J's key turn in the door and I said, "Easton, did you hear someone? Who do you think it is?" and he said, "Cookie cookie cookie" which is what he calls Cookie Monster. Isn't he a goof?
Here's a few pictures I forgot to share before that show him being a goof:
And then show him enjoying a lollipop from the bank while I made dinner:
Wanna know what today is? Today is the anniversary of Jason's and my first phone conversation. Waaaaay back in '03 :) September 2nd fell on Labor Day and I was at work and decided to call him on my break. I was looking forward to hearing his southern accent only to call and find that he doesn't really have one despite spending most of his life in southern Louisiana. Oh well. He's got a few words and phrases that occassionally give him away (like when he says, "We might could do that...") but otherwise we had a rather brief chat. I think I remember him telling me he was enjoying day #3 of not shaving since he had a 3-day weekend. It's funny the things that stick out.
Anyway, that's enough randomness for today. Enjoy the weekend! If you need a reason to smile, click here. I will not be getting one :)
