Hark! What's That You Hear?

Oops...did I do it wrong? Oh, there it is...if you've got your speakers on. It was time to have music on the blog again. And not just any music. Rainbox fans will recognize this as "Solar Bound" by none other than our own Jason "S" :) And, this is just an instrumental version but it's all Jason. He programmed every drum beat into a computer program and the guitars (never any less than 2, sometimes even 3) and bass are all by my J. He has some versions with lyrics but wasn't quite feeling up to me sharing them with y'all. But, still, it's fun, no? And if you wanted to watch the actual "video" it's just the boys (mostly E) dancing. I want to point out that most of what he's doing is attempting to breakdance which involves headstands, right? He's not trying and failing somersaults...he perfected those last summer, remember? Try not to pay attention to the fact that you can count every single one of his ribs when he is wearing just a diaper. He's a skinny mini. We know.

Okay, so...where did we leave off? Oh yes, Monday afternoon. It was so hot here that both the boys stayed nakey after their very short naps.

Easton isn't getting enough sleep still...see?

Just being happy

He loves watching YouTube videos.

Once Daddy got home we had even more fun. Daddy drew E a soul patch to match his:

And a tatoo. Jason's doesn't say "Mom" like E's does.

Dizzle and I had fun too. He is loving to do the "stick your tongue out" game:

And has perfected his "Churchlady" face:

Then came bedtime. Ugh. Actually Dalton slept great that night. He was the only one. Dalton slept from 9 pm-8 am waking once to eat at 3:30 and once to be reswaddled. Grrr. Miracle Blanket here we come! Anyway, Jason and I stayed up till almost midnight watching Bachelor and then playoff basketball. When Dalton woke to be reswaddled Easton also woke up for the day. It wasn't even 6 am yet. We were not happy campers. Neither was he. He was a butthead most of the day. Yes, I called my child a butthead. Not to his face, just to you guys. This was beyond calling him Mr. Crankypants or something nicer. We had LOTS of time to kill before Gym. So we made muffins:

They were "boobeddy".

Eventually we went to Gym where E even yelled at Miss Stephanie! She said, "Have a seat, buddy" so we could do our warm up and he whined "Eh!" at her. Then he sat. And was nice all the rest of gym. He impressed everyone again with his mad skills and then separation time rolled around. He saw them getting out the toys and my big boy looked at me and said, "Mama come back". Remember this means "mama will come back". Then he walked over and gave me a hug (this was all his own idea and own doing) and walked away to get some toys to play with. I'm so proud of him being so big again. We are signing him up for the next level next session even though we should technically wait till the next one if you go by age. Mr. Ken and Miss Stephanie both said, "Easton is such a good listener" (thank you for noticing) "He'll do great".

At Gymsters, Easton said the craziest thing (for him) to me. He said, "I still hungee" (hungry). Huh!?!? That one muffin top isn't quite cutting it for ya there, son? I told him, "I'm sorry we didn't bring any food to Gym" and he said, "Car" and I said, "No, I didn't bring any in the car either." The whole time we were there he'd say he was still hungry every once in awhile. So before we came home we stopped by the Panera in the same parking lot as My Gym. They had chocolate hazelnut bagel samples sitting by the register. One bite and I was sold. We got two. Yum. I had one today. Deeeelish.

Luckily after his snack and a yogurt at home Easton took a mighty long nap. I settled in to nurse Dalton and both of us started falling asleep in his chair. So I decided we'd take a "kangaroo nap". That's what I call the skin-to-skin snoozes from the NICU kangaroo care days with Easton. Only once Dalton was re-diapered and stripped he was all ready to be cute and play stick out your tongue games and be super smiley. We had fun and eventually we napped too. It was soooo nice. I love that he is still super snuggy. What a nice nap. I needed it. I was not happy having to get up even earlier than normal after going to bed late.

Jason was nice and proposed dinner out. Cracker Barrel. Easton wanted to eat "lots of pancakes" and he did. He took awhile falling asleep again but I never know if it was due to his long nap or what.

Dalton had another awesome night. He was down at 9 again. Didn't wake to eat till after 4! That's his longest stretch yet. Then he woke again for a re-swaddle at 6:40. That's also when Easton woke for the day. Not sure who woke who or if it was a complete coincidence but whatever. Easton's been a cranky-butt again. Grrr. Dalton went back to sleep though and when I got out of the shower I heard him crying. Easton had been playing in our bedroom but Little Daddy that he is was in Dalton's room. I'm fairly certain he didn't go in till he heard Dalton cry and he had already turned off Dalton's white noise machine and the humidifier and was climbing up on the rail to see him. How sweet is that?

We came down and I ate my bagel. Easton refused breakfast other than his beloved milk and instead put every single refrigerator magnet on the fridge:

Even though he's being a punk he looks "coot" today. That's how E says cute.

You might not be able to see him since he's camoflauged. Ha!

I made him stay upstairs with me to play since Dalton was snoozing in his swing downstairs. He wanted to play instruments

He kept going after Dalton woke. I got this of Dalton since he didn't get as many pictures as The E gets.

We headed off to Circle Time and the theme today was seeds and growing stuff. So, after the stories we strung a necklace with construction paper flowers and plastic receipt roll tubes:

Easton was a punk when we first got to Circle Time. He wouldn't sit down (and that is expected of them during the stories--they get up plenty during other parts of Circle Time). Anyway, I said, "Do you want to go home?" and he said, "yes" so we got up to leave even though we had just gotten there. He changed his mind and we had a little talk and he was good for the rest of the time. I'm really glad he's napping now. He ate two yogurts and a fruit leather before his nap. Then I remembered he refused breakfast but still... Breakfast is usually a few bites of whatever anyway. Not his best eating time of day unless it's doughnuts. Dizzle fell asleep on the way home and is at my feet in his carseat now. He stirs if I'm not rocking it with my foot. So I am.

Anyway, that's all I've got for you. All?!?! Enjoy!

So that's what you've been up to...getting your site all fixed up with videos and music (which is a very catchy tune). Too cool! Easton's breakdancing is a riot. He is just too cute.

Great photos, as always. :)

What a good boy E is being! I'm glad to hear about him listening at Gym and that he's doing so well with separation time. Dalton's eyes look so pretty in his close-up. I love them!
The music is very fun. I like that it's familiar to me. Like, oh I know this song...

Wow! Lots of info! *lol*
First, the photo of E squishing D's face is SUCH a flashback of Katie's early days.
I love the soul patch and Mom tat. *lol*
D's church lady face is perfect. He must have been really practicing!
The picture of D in the blue looks like he is saying "You wanna knuckle sandwich?"
Katie says "Cuey" instead of cute, and I'm sure she would agree that E is very cuey. I love it. She says it in a teensy high pitched voice. I've got to video it before she outgrows it!
