Diddles Update

My mom and Jessica babysat the boys for us last night. They said Dalton was so pathetic...not in a bad way, but in a sick way. That he was just really lethargic and cuddly. He didn't eat a single bite of dinner. Barely touched his milk. Barely wet his diaper.

He woke up 3 times in the night and I nursed him every time because I'm so worried. He was feverish but I didn't redose his meds.

This morning Easton and I went out to breakfast with my mom and sisters and we left Daddy at home to take care of Dalton who was still asleep when we left. He slept till 9:00. When he woke up his fever was 101.3 in his armpit--most of you would call that 102.3. If that part matters. Jason gave him both Tylenol AND Motrin and that finally broke the fever but D still was so lethargic and cuddled on the couch watching his favorite shows with his favorite Daddy.

When I got home he drank a bunch of milk (from me) and continued to sit on the couch and snuggle for more TV. If he wasn't snuggling and watching TV then he was wandering around the living room whining. It was sad.

He had a good 2.5 hour nap (I took a nap too!!!). His diaper was dry from 9 when he woke up this morning till at least 3:00 this afternoon. D seemed fever free till about 4:30 this afternoon when Jason checked it to be 101.3/102.3 again. We double dosed him with the meds again, because he is so darn miserable and seemingly dehydrated. But again he didn't touch any food till much later this evening.

Still not quite sure what is causing the fever and general miserableness. Of course it has to happen on a 3 day weekend, right? Although there is always urgent care if we feel it is warranted. Poor fella.

I don't even have any pictures of Mr. Miserable.

I do have some from the other day of my other currently healthy child. This bucket was my solution to having to bathe Easton after each trip to the sandbox...he simply rinses off in the bucket. But he knocked it over just as I was trying to take a picture:

Then he went straight back to the sandbox so he had to get rinsed again and I simply had to remove his wet shirt with sand now stuck to it. This must've been what it was like in olden times:

Anyway, please keep praying for my littlest man. I still plan to put Lauren's graduation stuff up at some point. Because she's such a cute happy graduate.

Till then...

That is just heartbreaking about Dalton. The only thing I like about the kids being sick, is they are so snuggly (when usually they are not). So I try to take advantage of it.

I do want to add that Micah (then Ranen) had something about a month ago, where there were high fevers for about 3 days. And it finally broke out into a rash on the 3-4 day. When I looked it up online it sounded like Roseola. I have no idea how they got it but they were miserable. I hope Dalton feels better soon and that Easton doesn't get whatever it is.

And Easton is so adorable sitting in the bucket. What a QT.

Just checking in and read about poor Dalton. Ellie had something eerily similar about a month ago and like jjrm said, it turned out to be roseola. Just a viral rash that follows a high fever lasting about 3 days. It certainly is NO fun, but its relatively harmless. Hope that it all it is for you and that Dalton is back to feeling better soon! BTW, your kids are so darn cute!!!

My kids always think its great fun to get sick on holidays. I am sorry about D. Poor baby. I hope the rest of the house stays healthy too. I can't believe E can fit in that bucket! What a cutie! Million dollar smile! Love, Cori
