May Day! May Day!

We're getting covered with snow. That's Colorado for ya, 82 degrees yesterday, snow today:

That video was about half an hour after it had started. So, yeah, there's even more snow than that on the ground. I was grateful for it being overcast, though, because that meant Easton slept till 8:30. Niiiiice. 13 hours of sleep and he stayed so dry. That's a long time.

Dalton was only up once last night so it wasn't too bad. He and I had over an hour together just us this morning while we waited for E to wake up. I guess that's what it'll be like when Easton starts school. I think we've decided on that Christian Montessori school, by the way. We decided on Montessori and we decided on Christian school. There are only two Christian Montessori schools up in the north 'burbs where we live and the other one is 3 days a week. I don't want that yet for him or for me. I like the little dude and while I think school will be a great experience, I still want to be able to do fun stuff with him too. And with school every morning we just couldn't get out as much because E has a brother that naps in the afternoons. I think when he's 4 he'll go 3 days a week (which is how this school we've chosen does it too). Then kindergarten will obviously be 5 days a week. And at that time Dalton will be in preschool too a couple days a week and I'll have no idea what to do with myself. :(

Okay, so anyway, back to today. Once Easton woke up and joined us, we had some breakfast. He and I enjoyed some chocolate chip muffins and Dalton had scrambled egg with cheese and shared some tart kiwi with me. Easton spit out his bite of kiwi, it was really tart. Dalton did so-so with his breakfast. He did best when he could give himself his bites:

After cleaning up the breakfast mess I got a bee in my bonnet to do some deeper cleaning which actually involved moving the kitchen table and even throwing a rug in the washing machine. And getting out the fancy wet/dry vac machine from my grandparents. The boys pitched in with the Swiffer:

Dalton would cry any time I turned on the vaccuum (which isn't normal for him) so I had to hold him while I did my chores.

Once the floors were nice and clean Easton decided he wanted to go out and play in the snow...it might be the last chance he'll have this season:

Poor Diddles just had to watch and play with a lid and tupperware he found in the cabinets:

E came in when he got cold and asked me to make him some hot chocolate (he saw this on TV). I didn't think he'd like it but I let him try. I was right. He said he liked it while he let it fall out of his mouth. And no, it wasn't too hot. Goob.

While we were doing that, the doorbell rang with a package from The Alabamaws.

Since it's a boring snow day we decided to open it without waiting for Daddy to get home, sorry J. :) I took videos.

The boys ate some lunch after that and Dalton did smashingly well with his banana and cottage cheese. Gobbled it all up and then some. Easton took some of his new stash from the package up for quiet time and Dalton fell asleep immediately.

Not a bad morning.

Deep cleaning? I'm impressed. Rarely happens around here. :)

I am shocked that you guys are still getting snow. That is just crazy!

I am super excited for Easton and his new preschool. I think he's going to love it!

Can you bring your bee-bonnetted self to my house for a while? LOL.

When does Eastie start school?
