"Still Sick"

Easton's got a touch of Dalton's sniffles. And he keeps walking around going, "I need to get in my bed for a long time because I'm sooooo sick." Or he'll sneeze and say, "I'm still sick."

So both boys are actually napping right now. Eek!

Dalton has a new trick, he can get up onto the couch by himself:

And Easton has yet another new craft:

He took this one of it himself:

Notice the handprint wings. It's hanging on his bedroom door. We just love our crafts...

...and cooking. He's ALWAYS wanting to help. Always. He made himself and Dalton little English muffin cheese pizzas for dinner last night:

Neither kid liked 'em. Guess we'll have to stick with Domino's.

Dalton did enjoy snacking on the cheese while Easton prepared the pizzas, though:

We had swimming last night. I haven't really talked about it in awhile on the blog...but Easton is a swimming superstar. The other day each kid got a turn to jump in. Easton decided to FLIP in! When he resurfaced his teacher was like, "Are you CRAZY!?!?" Guess she wasn't expecting that. Jason and I were cracking up. We were surprised too.

The next day at swimming I was sitting next to a mom who has a kid in E's class and a kid in D's class. So, pointing at Dalton, she was like, "Is that one yours?" and I said "yes and also that skinny one over there" and she was like, "Oh! The Super Swimmer!?!? My son was talking about him this morning about how your kid could do a flip and he wants to be able to swim like that kid." I was proud. :) I mean, they were talking about him at home! In a good way! Not a, "Can you believe how much that kid cries at art class?" way. That mom was like, "He can do everything (that the teacher asks them to do)!" Nothing like that kind of convo to make this mama beam with pride.

Okay, enough gushing...time to go wake that sleepy head up. I know he's "still sooooo sick" and all, but bedtime is important too!

P.S. While out running errands today we looked over at another car and saw a young'un in his car seat wearing the same Batman mask E has! I'm glad I'm not the only one letting my kid out in public like that. :)

What a great compliment on Easton's swimming. That is so cool. And I bet so was that flip into the pool. That kid has no fear.

Way to go Dalton getting up on the couch. It is way more comfy than the floor.

Holy cow, I can't believe he did a flip. Did he do it intentionally? Bet you wish you had the camera on for that one. Unbelievable. Amazing! And you deserve to gush away when your kid gets cool kuddos like those.

Reading your blog today gave me deja vu.

Both my kids are sick (Adam has puked twice in the last 24 hours). We've been doing tons of crafting and cooking lately. We have a pet that's always on the back of the couch. And Adam hates those little English muffin pizzas as well.

The differences would be that Drew is nowhere near climbing on the couch (Way to go, Big D!) and Adam would never consider flipping into the pool.

You certainly have a superstar swimmer on your hands! Way to go, Big E as well!

Do they have swim teams there? My niece Samantha is an all-star swimmer and joined a team this year. She loves it!

Hope everyone's feeling better soon. At your house and mine.

Can your kids teach KayTar how to be sick like a normal person? Please?

Oh, that's so cool that they were talking about Eastie! I'm sure he is quite impressive in the pool!
