To Tide You Over...

We've got his backpack all packed up. His school supply list said,
- backpack labeled clearly with child's name check!
- entire extra change of clothing in a zip-lock bag check!
- large box of Kleenex check! except I got generic "facial tissue" hope that's okay!

I offered to get him a new backpack but he's opted to stick with the familiar comfort of his Thomas backpack. It's seen him through so much already. (Not really.)

However we did bust out his new light up Spidey "school shoes" and he tried them on for the first time. Hope the lights aren't too distracting!

We removed the bed rail on his bed finally...a year and a half later! He's big now. And it'll make it easier for him to "make" his bed too. Then we re-read, "David Goes to School" of the "No, David!" series:

Followed by setting out his clothes and backpack for tomorrow and bathtime.

Then the boys did some of their bedtime snuggles and rough housing:

Easton always initiates the "I want to hold my baby!" It's so sweet to be raising siblings.

We'll be there bright and early tomorrow. Jason will be staying here with Dalton and seeing us off!

Stay tuned...

"I got my lunch packed up, my boots tied tight...I hope I don't get in a fight. Oh back to school, back to school." (Sorry, got Adam Sandler on the brain tonight.)

Wish us luck! But we'll need it even more on Thursday when he goes without me! Eek!

Such an exciting first. Although now I'm feeling bad for not blogging much about Adam's first day last year. Maybe I'll make up for it this year. :)

The bedtime snuggles are so cute. You're right, you DO find a way to get plenty of snuggling in with your boys.

We just read that David school book today at the bookstore. I know Eastie will be MUCH better behaved than that rascal!

Oh and love the Billy Madison quote. I have that entire movie memorized...no exaggeration. Such a waste of perfectly good brain cells. :)
