"Young and Sweet, Only Seventeen..."

...for a few more hours anyway. Lauren turns 18 tomorrow and I had the privelege of spending the afternoon with her.

It's been awhile since we've done anything "just the two of us" like that. Heck, it's not often that I spend "just the two of us" time with anyone.

But for her birthday eve, she and I met up at the Movie Tavern so I could treat her to Mamma Mia! and some food. I know I had a really good time, I think she had fun too. The food was good and the movie was fun...but you probably have to like musicals. It can be strange when a character who was previously talking suddenly bursts into song, and ABBA at that. But the movie was cute. Not as good as, say, Grease (which we both love) or Sound of Music (which we love) but it was definitely funnier than either of those. Some parts made us downright giggle.

I can't believe tomorrow the baby I watched come into this world (Jessica and I were there to witness her birth) turns into an official adult.

I asked her who she was going to vote for, now that she can. :)

Happy birthday eve, Dancing Queen!

(glad to hear Mamma Mia! was worth it. I've been wondering!)

Awww, what a fun girls' night.

It's times like that when I totally wish I had a sister.

Happy birthday Lauren!

I have ALWAYS wanted a sister, or brother for that matter. That sounds like it was a good hang. Britty
