Easton's a Swimmer!

We went to Gramoo's pool again today:

And I'm so proud to report that I'd actually say Easton can swim now. Well, he's been able to "swim" without coming up for air since last summer. Anyway, last time we went he had me pretty convinced but today he totally cemented that. He can stay near the top of the water, come up for breaths. Sure he's lacking some style points right now but he's doing great. Here's a fairly long video (3:18) of some of his pooling today:

I'm pretty convinced that if he, say, fell in...that he at least wouldn't drown. Assuming that he didn't hit his head or anything, of course.

Even though he did fabulous...he surprised us all by puking on my belly after a few hours and necessitating a trip back to Gramoo's. Luckily Wabie caught everything and no barfy bits were floating around in the pool. Eastie and I needed to be cleaned up, though. Poor guy was wondering why we had to leave. He's not sick, just drank too much water I guess. In fact, when we got back to Gramoo's she offered him a beverage and he told her he'd had enough. :)

He definitly has the swimming thing down! I was so impressed that he could flip in the water and that he went down the slide and knew how to swim back to the side of the pool. Way to go Easton!

All those swim lessons sure have paid off! I showed Adam the video, hoping he'd be encouraged to want to try without his life jacket. He was happy for Easton but said NO WAY for learning himself. Stinker.

Super proud of your lil dude!

Go Easton, that is awesome!

Just this weekend, Julia decided to take off the floaties and give it a try. She surprised me and did really good!
