Just a few things from the last day or two...here's the boys hard at work on a little something for E's pen pal and the little girl who sent Dalton a little something last week. Andrea and Amy, don't look :)
Yesterday we met my sister at the outlet mall. It's so nice having her somewhat local again for little get togethers like this. The boys and I went there ahead of her to check out the stores I needed to check out without having to drag her along. Didn't find anything at the Gymbo outlet, found a pair of pants for E at Carter's, and then I bought Easton some new Crocs. This is his second year of his current pair. They're generic (Payless, I think) and he's worn them a ton. They're an every day thing in the summer and as long as there's no snow or puddles on the ground he wears them during other times of the year with socks and such too. My boys LOVE Croc-type shoes. Anyway...they've finally worn a hole in them and I wanted to get him a new pair but couldn't find generic ones anywhere. Especially not in a basic everyday color like navy. So I bought him a pair of real ones for $25 and then had immediate second thoughts. Even for shoes he'll wear nearly every day for 2 years, $25 seems like a lot to my very cheap self when I've previously paid $6 for the same thing (2 years, frequent washings and wearings).
Oh well. I checked my receipt this morning after a few friends filled me in on places to look for generic ones and I can only return for store credit. I was willing to use the store credit myself but we still couldn't find generic ones that'll work for E.
I let each kid pick out a new Jibbitz too...Easton's Buzz Lightyear he got when he was 2 now only has one leg and Dalton's Chuck E. Cheese head keeps falling off from the rest of the Jibbitz. So, E picked out a Spiderman one and wanted to place it near the top of his shoe like it was climbing. Dalton was adamant he get a Mickey Mouse and he turned it specifically so that he could see it right side up when he looks down...not so that it looks "right" when others look at his feet. I thought that was cute and appropriate. :)
And with all this foot talk...thought this was cute...
It's Aunt Jess and the boys' shoes while on the mall carousel yesterday:
Love E's smile here!
With no quiet time Easton was getting quite crazy. Morning is really the best time of day for outings with him. I need to learn this. :)
Jessica's main agenda was to help me pick out new sunglasses. My old ones broke and we found some for $12.99 in a little kiosk. Me likey:
Easton was a total crazy-man while we shopped. Even so, we headed over to the Starbucks inside the Target at that point and Jessica treated us to frosty beverages. Easton stole my chai frapp as soon as I set it down:
Both boys love those. Easton tried Jess's iced coffee too but it was not for him. :) She also shared her banana nut bread with my little nutjobs:
We parted ways after that. My guys fell asleep in the car on the way home and we had a lazy afternoon till Daddy got home for dinner.
Today we ran a bunch of errands again. No problems from the kidlets, likely because it was morning time. Now D's napping and E's quiet timeing and I'm done...

It is cool that Jess is close enough for little get-togethers like this now!

Fun!!! Isaiah was so excited when he saw the pic of E holding His pic. :) LOL :)
and CUTE sunglasses! Glad y'all had a good time with your sister! :)
We know nothing of Crocs and Jibbitz, but it still looked like a super fun shopping day. I wish I had a sister to go shopping with! Love the shades, by the way.
