My usual view from my spot on the couch...my no-longer-swollen feet propped up in front of me. Clutter strewn about my house threatening to drive me crazy...those few puzzles on the floor, toys and D's milk on the coffee table, something of my own to sip, Jason slaving away in the kitchen doing what is normally my job...
If it wasn't for this bed rest, I really wouldn't be itching to be done with the pregnancy. I still wasn't having horrible complaints other than having to get up with the boys in the night in addition to my own gettings up...but the boys are doing fabulous in their new set up now, no one wakes up...and Dalton stays dry all night--we're on the 6th or 7th consecutive night! Not bad for not quite 2.5...not bad at all!
Anyway, sure I wasn't loving my swollen ankles in the pre-bed rest days either but that's mostly because of what it meant/could mean and not that they were particularly bothersome. And of course I didn't love everyone mentioning my size every chance they got.
But, end of pregnancy wise, I'd say I was doing pretty good. Really enjoying my final pregnancy, even. I have no real back pain, no sciatica, no heartburn or reflux or indigestion, no shortness of breath, no stretch marks, no varicose veins, no hemorroids (yeah, I went there!)...nothing to make me wish this would all just end until the bed rest came up. And now I'm ready. So ready.
Before I go, however, here's those professional maternity photos we had done recently:
Yeah, those are still my regular jeans buttoned (barely!) at 8 months. :) And I didn't even have to lay down to get them buttoned. High belly! That's also my lone stretch mark from keeping my belly ring in too long with Dalton's pregnancy. Earned my stripes. Er, stripe.;)
'xcuse the glare there. :)
See how much we love you already, little Wabie???
Can't wait to meet you!!!

Love the pics and love that besides the recent bedrest, this has been a good pregnancy for you.
However, my mind still cannot comprehend how you're able to wear your regular jeans this far into your pregnancy. How is that possible?! I was in maternity jeans at 4 months out of necessity!!
I never noticed quite how ALLLLL in front you are carrying until that one with your feet in the air. I guess that's how your belly looks to you all the time, though! LOL.
Very cute!! :) Can't wait to meet that Wabie.
