Because it's Sunday and we'll be heading to church this morning, I thought I would use some of my latest "Eastonisms" that deal with him figuring out this whole God and Jesus thing.
- When listening to "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands" recently, Easton caught on that, "Whoa, that might be a big job."
- On a particularly sunny drive Easton asked us, "Do Jesus' eyes hurt?" because it was so sunny. When Jason explained that, yes, heaven is bright, but it's probably not too bright. That Jesus could do anything. "Like make sunglasses?" E wondered next.
- On another nearly cloudless day I caught Easton looking up into the sky announcing, "I don't see God's feet anywhere."
- After learning about Jesus being nailed to the cross, Easton later asked if he would have nails in him when he died. I told him that most people don't go that way.
- While folding cloth napkins with me recently, Easton asked, "Does Jesus have kid food?" And I went, "Kid food???" and he said, sort of embarassed, "Yeah, for when we die." And I said, "Honey, hopefully you won't die till you're a really old man and you won't care about 'kid food' anymore anyway." This made him whine in protest that he won't ever like regular food so I added, "Easton, I'm not even sure we'll have to eat food at that point."
- When finishing up with Easter, Easton asked Jason if Jesus would be staying dead for next year's Easter. I guess we thought he was understanding it much better than he apparently did.
Not sure if that's exactly what they mean by "faith like a child" but we can go back to Matthew 18:3-4 to wrap up this post anyhow:
And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

It is so precious to see our little ones trying to grasp God but many times they understand more than we give them credit for.
I love Easton's curiosity.
These are so cute!
Very sweet...I especially like when he was looking for God's feet. ;)
SO cute! Isaiah asked me the other day what God eats for breakfast. LOL.
