It's Magic!

For my birthday the always-generous Alabamaws sent me a Magic Bullet kitchen appliance...you've seen the infomercial, right? I was so excited when it showed up on my doorstep the other day.

I read the manual (and recipes) the other night and then as added inspiration I TiVo'd the infomercial (I'd never seen this particular one with the "morning after" group of friends...cheesy stuff).

Anyway, part of it's "magic" is that it has prompted us to try to fix our ice maker. Jason had this fridge in his townhouse and the ice maker worked fine. He moved into an apartment that already had a fridge for 6 months or so and this fridge was in storage. As soon as we moved in here...the ice maker no longer functioned properly. This is exactly 2 weeks before Easton was born: 12/26/04



We've tried a few things to fix it over the years short of replacing the thing and yesterday J tried a few more. Still not working so I think we'll be replacing it...but that way I can have some easy ice access to use with my new Magic Bullet. I dream of all the frozen drinks I can one day whip up on a whim when my ice maker works and Wabie is out. :)

I just now used it for the first time to whip up some 10 second chocolate mousse. And then I used it again to whip up some more because it was that delicious with the boys' leftover strawberries from lunch. Yum!
