Rain Delay

Hey blog fans...so, turns out the weather is too warm for this precipitation to be 10-20 inches of snow, it snowed a bit this morning till it warmed up, now we've just got a bunch o' rain. Puddles and puddles.

Not knowing how the weather was going to go, Jason is working from home today and I got an email saying Easton's school was closed, not that he'd be going on a Friday anyway. Kinda silly when you look out the window and all it's doing is raining. Oh well. We're enjoying the day nonetheless. Although when Jason "works from home" he actually works. We don't see him a ton but the kids know he's here which is super hard for them. I told Easton he needed to stay out of our bedroom and he was like, "But I just want to go snuggle with my father". Awwww. He had to settle for snuggling with me until Dad's lunch break instead.

We've had the TV on a lot this morning but stopped to make some cards (Easton's idea). The boys got out stickers and stamps and construction paper. Then E and I did his dinosaur floor puzzle while Dalton watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I've been getting a ton of laundry done with all this time at home in front of the tube. And I've got more to do so no time to stop to upload pictures.

I will share that I've been feeling a bit better pregnancy-wise. Instead of my meds three times a day I'm down to just once. Pretty much every afternoon, just in time to start thinking about dinner, I start feeling icky again. And that's when I pop my meds and I'm good to go again by about the boys' bedtime. But, perhaps because it's time, or perhaps from my feeling better much of the time I've now gained some weight. According to our scale here at home I'm now 2 pounds above my pre-pregnancy weight. But I'd lost some weight over the first half of this here pregnancy so the fact that I not only gained it back but then some--all in a relatively short period of time--has me freaking out just a tad. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Anyhoo...

I just ran to the grocery store for a few things while the kids are in their QT/nap. That's one nice thing about having J working from home, I guess. Easton's actually doing his quiet time in a tent in the basement. Jason set up the tent down there again. I think they plan to camp out down there tonight. Although Jason's not sure he personally will make it all night and that makes me sad to think of E all the way down there all by himself. :( We'll see how it goes.

More laundry is calling my name so I'd better go. Stay dry...I just saw parts of Texas are getting pummeled with rain too.

It is dark and dreary here today, but no real rain yet. We're under a tornado warning, though.

The yucky weather must make it a good day for laundry, because I'm doing the same thing!

Oh, I think it is SO cute Easton said "father". It cracks me up when kids are proper, so cute.

Okay, it has been so long since I actually pulled up your blog (usually just read it in google reader)...I never realized that your ticker said "knocked up" in it. My how things change with the ticker for baby #3. Glad to hear you are finally putting on some weight!
