He's crying already. :(

He was in such great spirits this morning, sounded excited enough about school.

Then during our picnic breakfast in his room he told me, "Mama, I don't like school."

He was brave in the car but asked me to stay and watch him. We got there and he started walking really slowly...in everyone's way. He finally made it to me at the door and I asked for a kiss, gave him one on his hand and then he took Mrs. M's hand and went in. I went around the corner and when I peeked back a moment later Mrs. M was bent over talking to him and then he was in tears.

It is absolutely breaking my heart. I broke down as soon as I got in the car. The other kids were just staring at him. He was calling, "Mama!" through his tears. How can I keep doing this to him?

"I" arrived and I don't think it helped...I was trying to overhear. His mom came over and reported that "I" was going over to give Eastie a hug. I wish that did the trick but I know it didn't.

One more day of him alienating himself from his peers. One more day of not fitting in. Not making friends.

So much for the bribes (see below).

I guess I'll call his teacher this afternoon.

I am so sorry you all are having to go thru this rough time. I know how hard it it, as my youngest two cry in Sunday School evey week. (Seth will usually stop after a few minutes, but I ALWAYS get called out to come and get Elsie.)
I hope you have more answers as what to do, after you speak with Mrs. M.
If you don't mind me asking what is the reason you put E into preschool? Was it for him to learn to socialize with other kids? Was is for him to get preparred for Kindergarden? Other?
If it was to play with other kids, you might want to join a MOMS group where he can interact with them with you present. I am in MOPS and I love it. You can find a chapter by looking them up on the internet.
If it was to help prepare him for Kindergarden, I honestly think you could do that for him at home yourself and there would be less stress on his little body.
Remember, kids don't NEED prechool to succeed in grade school and life.

I hope I am not coming across too preachy, bossy or whatever. I just really do want to offer up some helpful advice.
Whatever you and Jason decide, know that this is a phase and it too will pass. :)

Kristin, *hugs* I truly understand what it's like to leave your child crying...I'm sorry. Praying you both find a way to resolve the tears.

Oh Kristin, I would be heartbroken as well. In fact, it IS breaking my heart and he's not even my kid.

I don't even know what to say or suggest.

I think talking to the teacher is a good idea.
