It's my new favorite store. The "deal" I'm getting is that their vitamins and supplements are buy one get one free...so I'm getting $10 bottles of stuff we use anyway for free. It is very exciting, is it not? This morning I did a survey of what we were about to run out of and went and stocked up on some more. I like me a good bargain.
We also went to Lowe's (for a return) and Wal-Mart (to compare some stuff to Walgreens prices--hee hee). And then because my boys behaved so well and the weather is beautiful all week we went to the "Wal-Mart park" to play for a bit.
Then we came home for lunch.
Not a very exciting day so far.
Yesterday afternoon was more exciting...the boys were a little crazy and both jonesing for some snuggles...seriously they were clinging to my legs wherever I went and crying. So we parked it on the couch for a bit and I snuggled my two boys while we watched some TV and they got their fill of me. Then we were able to move on with our day. We drove through the bank to cash a check. Apparently way back, like, two March's ago (right after Dalton was born) we were charged a co-pay we shouldn't have been charged (pre-Microsoft, of course). It took me forever to work it out with insurance and I had given up and paid the money. They must've finally figured it all out because we got a check in the mail refunding my overpayment. Score! We cashed that and are using it for an extra meal out this week. Woo hoo!
The boys and I came back home and we played pretend food. It was time to leave to go meet Jason at Sweet Tomatoes (we had a buy one get one coupon for there too!). Anyway, we were playing a racing game to pick up all the food quickly and it freaked Dalton the heck out. He was so scared of our frantic "game" that I lost because I had to hold him. Goober.
Then we went to dinner and it was lovely as usual. At dinner Easton shared some of what he's learning in school...like they're not allowed to give "high fives" they can only shake hands or do this fist pound thing...don't get that but whatev. He also said, "Dad...God is strong!" and then he said, "You know what? God made everything."
At dessert Jason and Easton went to make ice cream sundaes while Dalton and I hung at the table...they came back and I went off to get my dessert. Apparently Easton all on his own (not copying anyone) scooped up a bite and offered it across the table to his baby bro. The other day Kylie asked me if Easton was a good big brother...and dude, he's the best! He does thoughtful things like that all the time. He's always looking out for The D.
Oh...Dalton's sleeping last night went much better. As a "sleepytime" cue, instead of the paci I spent a little extra time rocking him last night. He was really wound up so he needed a little help calming down. So we rocked for about 10 minutes, only two of which he was actually still and quiet. Before he fell asleep I put him in his bed and we never heard from him till his night nursing. He did that and went right back to sleep till about 8:00 today. Lovely!
For his nap just now he did perfectly too. No talking, no crying, nada. We rocked for about 5 and then I put him in his bed and he went to sleep. Hooray!
I actually have no pictures for you after our morning of bargain and deal shopping. Oh but speaking of deals...I do have this one picture...Easton's school is part of a church and so they were doing their church/school directory and were begging everyone to come get their pictures done and they'd give you a free 8x10 just for going. So we got this in the mail yesterday...
How cute are we? :)
Because we just did family photos in June and because we're cheap we didn't order any others so don't look in your mailboxes for any copies or anything, grandparents.
Anyhoo, that's all I've got for you fine folks for today. Thanks for checking in!

I am loving the family pic!
Ummm we have NO family pics.
How bad am I? Actually there are very few photos of me. If I ever drop dead, you are my witness I was actually around! Just email my kids and let them know I existed! Ha!
That's a very cute family pic!
Easton sure is a sweet brother. He always has been. I remember hoping/praying that Adam would be just as sweet to Drew as Eastie always is to Dalton and so far so good!
PS You're making me want to go to Walgreens now. :)
I love the God comments. So cute!
Glad D is sleeping better! The pic is totally cute!
