Wordy Wednesday...

Finally ready to get back into the swing of my regular blogging. Tomorrow is another day. And currently I'm not feeling too crazy about it (with Thursday being a school day and all). Prayer works. Always remember that, people.

Anyhoo, there is going to be way too much to catch ya'll up on but I'll just post all the pics that have been waiting in my Photobucket for days now. Golly, I think these are from last Friday. Yes, actually I know they are. I let Dalton have a spoon all by himself. I also put a bib on him because we had plans to go to dinner that night and I didn't want to have to change his clothes:

At dinner that night our boys got lessons in flirting because the hostess stand backed to our table and so the gals could look down at our booth and were totally ga-ga over our cuties. Easton was eating it up. He would go, "Oh ladieeeeeeeeeeees" and give a little wave or smile. Good times.

Friday we also did a craft. Easton did this fish thing and I turned Dalton loose with some Color Wonder markers. However, he decided to leave all the caps on which made things even easier.

He moved on quickly...

This was after all the bed switching fun when Easton said, "Mama!? I want to sleep in my own bed now."

I don't think I have any pictures from Saturday, I forget why.

Sunday I tried a church that Jason went to in the past. Not our church home.

J went to watch the Saints at a nearby sports bar (they weren't on TV here) and then I put the boys to work making a shelf for the toy area. We bought that shelf at the beginning of the year and it sat in it's box in the laundry room till now.

Having the toy area slightly reorganzied and weeded through made room for more toys so we rotated a few things back in. We like to keep some stuff "fresh" and keep clutter down by storing stuff in the basement for awhile and rotating through with other toys. So they were having fun with this Little People farm:

We decided to order pizza for dinner on Sunday night. I keep the coupons on top of the fridge but someone is too short to get up there easily:

After our Wal-Marting Easton wanted to climb his tree:

That was the day he was in a testy mood all day. So he climbed up and claimed he was tired and going to sleep up there and wouldn't come down. Very calmly I had to keep asking him to come down. I couldn't tell him he was going to go right into a time-out for disobeying otherwise he'd never come down (that was the kind of mood he was in) so I kept smiling and telling him. "Come down, Easton. Come down". As soon as he got where I could reach him I yanked him out of that tree and into the naughty corner. Stinker. School stress is making both him and me a little on edge, I'm sure. He's not being his normal happy obedient self as much. Yesterday afternoon (Tuesday) was particularly trying as well and he spent large amounts of time in the naughty corner.

Even D had to have a time out for splashing in the cat's water bowl two seconds after I moved him away and told him not too. I had two boys in time out at once for the first--and most certainly not last--time in my parenting experience. I'm going to have to figure out a second corner to use. Poo.

Uh, here's Dalton giving cottage cheese a go with his spoon.

He is starting to get very very picky about textures and foods and stuff. He almost seems like he's got some feeding disorder or something because you can come at him with something (like Grape Nuts) and he does this certain noise that he also does when he's in pain. He outright refuses to try so much stuff right now. Stuff he used to gobble up. Toddlerhood. Gotta love it. (Oh, and I DO NOT really think he has a "disorder").

And then today Easton had a dentist appointment. His first was back in January...then we went again 6 months ago after all the drama with the one dentist saying they'd need to put him to sleep for all his cavities. So this was his second experience with cleaning although his 5th time in the dentist chair. He did great with the hygenist although he did not like the bubble gum flavor toothpaste I picked. Should've tried cherry because watermelon toothpaste at home makes him gag too. So other than saying "I don't like it" while hoping for a squirt of water he didn't make a "negative" peep at all.

He did fantastic for the dentist as well. He's a superstar.

This time he picked a blue plastic starfish to add to our menagerie of plastic dentist toys. We have that 2nd turtle, a penguin, a whale and now this. Hey, they're all swimming animals. Just realized that. He also picked out a purple and yellow toothbrush and Dalton got one too.

We made our next appointment for 6 months from now and Dalton will be going then too!

In the car Easton told me, "Mom, see, now my teeth are all sparkly." I said, "Show me" and he did this:

Then we went to the mall with the oversized breakfast foods to play for a bit after I did a little shopping. I got jeans and a t-shirt all with that gift card I had from awhile ago. Oh wait, I owed 14 cents after all was said and done. Perfect. I didn't take too many pics of the boys on the food. One little girl befriended/attacked Easton:

They played chase and hide and seek till he got sick of her.

Dalton just diddled around:

One little boy who was actually older than Easton decided to HIT both of my children. Luckily my boys are not used to being hit so they don't hit back or cry or anything. In fact, Dalton thought it was a game and was smiling while the kid smacked D on the arm. :( Easton just looked over at me like, "What the heck is this about???" I stepped in and told the kid, "Please do not hit anyone." His mom came over later but she didn't look like she had seen what had just happened and I'm not a tattler usually.

After playing we bought ourselves some mall cookies and headed for home.

It feels nice to get this large post out of the way finally. Whew.

Can you remind me how much Eastie weighs? I forget. He makes KayTar look like beefy in those undies shots, though. LOL.

D is making the cutest faces these days, and E looks like a BIG KID in the dentist chair. I think it is his expression, but he looks much older.

Glad you're back to regular blogging!

Easton reminded me of someone else when he wanted to stay in the tree. The apple really doesn't fall far from the proverbial tree :)

I don't think I've seen the Moose Player shirt before on Diddles. I LOVE IT!

What a catch up post. So much cuteness that I don't remember what all I was going to comment on. I do love Dalton's moose outfit. And J's look when you are taking a picture of Dalton and you. The teeth pictures of both boy's was cuteness too.

I'll see if I can remember everything...

--The moose outfit is so cute. I was going to mention it even before I saw that others did. Was that one of your Gymboree purchases from a while back?

--I think it's adorable how Dalton crossed his ankles while eating.

--Easton's baggy undies are so funny. :)

--And he's so handsome in that dentist chair!

--I guess you saw we did the fish craft this week too. Funny coincidence.

--I cracked up at J on the counter. :)

--Easton in that tree...AHHH! I would FREAK out!

Ok, I think that's it. Great recap!

The pic of jason up on the counter was hilarious! :)

Oh...I will definitely be sending you some stress free school vibes!

So glad Easton did well at the dentist and there were no meltdowns over lost turtles or anything ;)

That's all I can remember, lol
