Having a good day so far...weather is lovely...mild temp somewhere in the low 60s but it's sunny and cloudless and we're looking forward to enjoying the afternoon with our new friends "I" (who is really Isaac...enough anonymity), Caleb, and Kylie. After Q.T./naps and blogging, that is.
So, let's backtrack to Friday afternoon still, shall we? It was no longer rainy and the boys and I headed up to the 'brary for our weekly trip. Easton picked out several movies and then I said, "Okay, bud...I think we've got enough movies for this week...why don't you go pick out some books?" and he replied, "You go ahead...I'll be over here playing with Dalton." Ha ha ha!
Seriously I love the things that come out of his mouth. As we were wrapping up dinner the other night he asked, "Are we all done, peeps?" because he helps clear the table by bringing dishes to Jason. Or sometimes I'll ask if he wants water with his food and he'll say, "Oh, I'll be alright" as in he doesn't need anything. Hee hee.
Oh wait...where was I? Oh yeah...Friday. So we did our library trip and then when Jason got home he did the water heater thing and watched Ike coverage on TV. The hot water is all fixed for now. Whew.
Saturday morning we went out to breakfast as a family and then Easton and Jason went to E's first swimming lesson of the higher level.
Jason said Easton did well and did all the skills easily except when he holds on to the floating barbell and is supposed to practice freestyle kinds of arm movements. He spazzes out a bit I hear and would rather put his face in the water instead of do that. But it was the first lesson. So hopefully he'll get it.
After swimming I went down to be a volunteer model for Lauren. She was in an all day session with a professional make-up artist (yes, to the stars--and Extreme Makeover!) and Lauren needed faces to practice on so I went and got fancy make-up done. She did great. There is pictures but we don't have them. And I'm not sure I'd want to share my "Before" pic anyway. Little rough! Eek!
I came back home and we had an early dinner and then went for a walk and ended up at our nearby park for a bit. Fun!
On Sunday we dressed the boys up in their Broncos gear:
Then we drove them down to my mom's:
The boys played there with Gramoo and Lauren while Jason and I went on an early date to Movie Tavern to see Tropic Thunder and share a light lunch. The boys had fun with Gramoo as usual:
After the movie we went back to Gramoo's and I made some queso dip to have while we watched the first half of the Broncos game. Dalton napped and we just sat around and snacked in front of the game. At halftime we packed up and drove home to finish the game here. And wow, what a finish. Sharing a low five:
What a game!
C'mon, Dalton!
We had breakfast for dinner and then Jason and I watched sweet Michael Phelps trying to do SNL (on TiVo, of course as it was now Sunday).
Today was doughnuts as usual but before hand Easton drinks his juice in the big bed...joined by little Bubs...they were so cute and snuggly:
All that space and look where they choose to be. Awwwwww!
I didn't want to totally mess up their brotherly bonding but after a bit I couldn't resist all that snuggling anymore and selfishly had to crawl in with them for a bit while we finished up Max & Ruby.
We did our Wal-Marting after doughnuts and now we're just waiting for our time to go meet Isaac and crew. Happy Monday!

Glad you guys had a fun weekend :)
Oooh, a Saturday afternoon date. Sounds wonderful! Although I probably would have insisted on a different movie. :)
Glad ya'll had a great weekend. I can't even trash talk the Broncos. The Chiefs make me hang my head in shame.
Sounds like a great weekend. I would love to see the make-up pictures. How fun. And the snuggly pictures are so cute. What great brothers.
